Grease and oil all necessary rotating parts and bearings. Prevent friction that contributes quick wear out of the instrument. Furthermore, the whole tool should be oiled, to prevent it from rusting. Usually, the equipment is exposed to the water surface and preventing it from rust is vital. A well-lubricated machine performs better with less energy due to the smooth moving bearings.

The equipment has bolts fixing the parts. Tighten all nuts and bolts before their use. Loose bolts are lost when moving this equipment or when it vibrates. You can avoid the struggle of searching them by checking if they are tight before you use the tools. Replace all broken screws. However, if the tool breaks it may endanger the lives of the users.

The tools must be kept well. They may be damaged by playing kids. Keep instruments in a safe place hanged, in shelves or bags. Make sure that you organize your store well, and hang tools on their respective cases to ensure that they are safe. The cases protect them from dust and being broken. Do not keep them on the ground because it may be humid. The wet condition makes metals rust. Unless they are protected from rust hang them.

When equipment works for long hours, some parts may crumble or break. You do not have to throw away the instrument, check how it works and repair broken parts. Fill cracks with gas and ensure you do not subject them to high temperatures. Parts that have failed if ignored they may lead the whole instrument to cease working.

Some parts may be worn out after the examination by an expert. Replace them to avoid damaging the whole equipment. In the instance that the complete tool is broken replace it immediately. Use the right tools to open the lid, and do not find some wrong alternative when the tools have failed to work.
