Wood herb grinders are delicate. So it is best only used for softer spices. Plastic can easily be the cheapest among them all. But still this type comes with a price. This material is prone to chipping and plastic is an obviously not an ingredient to anything humans should ingest.

There are also two chamber types that are less popular. These ones do not come with a catcher for the ground up herbs. Using this can tend to be a bit messy, so reconsider the choice. There are three chamber options that are the best in the market. Clean up is not a hassle and there is a container for easier measurement after grinding. Many four chamber ones come with a pollen grinder come with a scraper to make sure all the extra herb gets to be utilized.

Cleaning these instruments is easy. There are a variety of methods, application is still a matter of preference. One method is using boiling water on a pot and gently dropping the tool in the pot. This only works for the metal types since plastic can melt and wood will get soggy. Method number two uses a toothbrush and carefully cleaning with the aid of water . This takes more energy that sterilization, but it gives a thorough cleaning.
