Typically, one will have to complete studies in Optometry school. To be admitted into the Optometry school, one needs to complete an undergraduate degree first. The undergraduate degree gained can be in any field of study one wishes to pursue.

Some of the courses covered during undergraduate studies include mathematics, science, health and many others. Under science, people study laboratory experiments, biochemistry, general chemistry, and organic chemistry. Some institutions usually impose additional requirements.
