Simple Tips For Buying Yorkie Parti Puppies

By Andrew Russell

When you want to buy a dog, you need to plan for it. You cannot wake up one day and decide that you are going to bring a dog home without considering the implications it will create. You need to factor in several things so that you know exactly what you are getting into. If you want to buy Yorkie Parti Puppies, below are some of the things you need to consider.

Ensure that you have adequate time to spare for your dog. If you have to be great friends with your pet, you have to spend a lot of time together. This time together may last a long time, so be ready for long-term commitment. Some dogs can live to almost twenty years if they are well taken care of. If you live your dog alone, it may become aggressive.

Remember that a dog also needs a lot of exercise. However, Yorkshire terriers may not need that you take them out so often. On the contrary though, they need lots of attention. You will need to show them a lot of love. So, if you are away a lot, you may have to look for a pet sitter.

Consider the financial implications of owning a dog. You may be thinking about the purchase price. However, dogs have ongoing needs that will require money. Your dog will need quality food, medication needs, grooming, toys, and licensing fees. During the first few months, you will also need to buy a carrier bag and a crate, and pay for spaying/neutering, training sessions, and vaccinations.

Decide whether you really need a Yorkie. Dogs are not just different in appearance; things such as temperament and needs differ with the breed. This breed particularly is more of a toy breed. Hence, they are suitable for both apartments and big homes. However, at the end, each dog also has its own personality.

Know the drawbacks of Yorkshire terrier. Every breed has its downsides. This may make the unsuitable for certain conditions or environments. For example, you need to know that these dogs are very territorial and they tend to bark too much. You may have to train them when they are young to curb excessive barking. They are also very playful and will run around the house a lot.

When picking the puppy, ensure that you choose a healthy one. Inspect the entire litter so that you see their behavior and pick the one that looks the healthiest. Choose a pup that is bold. Pups like bullying their siblings, so look out for the one that is more dominant. Avoid dull looking pups because they could be sick.

Examine the physical health of the pup. You can always tell a sick puppy by checking the eyes, ears, and other openings. If they look watery, then the animal is likely sick. You should also check their behavior and ensure that they look normal.

Request for the medical history of the animal. You have to ensure that necessary medical check-ups and vaccinations have been administered. If not, choose a different pup or check out another breeder. You may end up with a dog with underlying medical conditions.
