Producing A Stamped Wire With Hot Stamp Machines

By Jerry Cole

Hot stamping is a method used in lithography and also used in dry printing in which a pre dried ink or a foil material is being used and which are placed in a surface with a very high temperature. This type of method is non polluting and was even used before in nineteenth century. Other materials which are also used are papers, plastics, etc.

In nineteenth century, the very popular use of this is for embossing the printed book covers. Other uses for this include cable and wire printing. An example of wire printing is a stamped wire. Most of the common tools used include dies and foils. Dies may be made either in metal or in silicon rubber. These may either be shaped or cast directly. Dies carry details in high levels which are being transferred and shaped based on the surface of materials.

Foils are contained with coatings that are multi layered transferred to the material surface. Non metallic foils are consist of release layers, color layers, and adherence bases. The purpose of metallic foils is to replace the color layers with a chrome metallic aluminum or vacuum metallic aluminum. The color of metallic foils may be copper, bronze, silver, or gold.

So in the processing of a product by using the hot stamping machine, first, the die is heated and is mounted and the product that is to be printed is placed under it. And between the two materials, a roll leaf carrier which is either metallic or painted is inserted. The die is then pressed down through it and the dry foil or the dry paint is imprinted on the surface of the material.

Machines used in the production of stamped wires are ideal because it will surely provide clear markings an as well as bright markings to wires. Wires that are printed may be in Teflon, nylon, or cross linked polyethylene types. Printings using hot stamps are durable and it is very similar to printings using hot foils. Modern technologies are being developed because of the evolving stamp designs. These printers are produced so that changing continuous stamps and print characters will be done very quick.

The 4 four main advantages for choosing this method rather than other printing methods are the following. First, high quality machines. It produces clear and durable markings on wire products. And most modern printers now have lasers, engraved with a concave face for making sure that there are complete letters, even in smallest diameter wires are printed.

Second, higher productivity. By the use of modern printers, companies can already do several productions of marked wires faster compared to using other printers that will make longer time in production due to some complicated ways in its installation. Higher productivity results to lower costs and which also means having higher profits. Products are also delivered on time to the customers.

Third, flexibility of the machine. These machines are flexible because the tools may be changed directly. You can just easily add logos, graphics, and some new characters. Its flexibility also differentiates your company from the competitors.

Fourth is turn key solution. Modern technologies now are being developed in order to provide problem solutions. Machines are produced with all the tools like the soft wares, components, and parts necessary for production.
